BACKGROUND:
Lawrence Quill is Professor of Political Theory at San Jos茅 State University and a
recipient of the S.J.S.U. President鈥檚 Scholar Award (2019-2020) . He was a Technology
and Democracy Fellow at the at Cambridge University in 2015 and 2017. His latest book Nostalgia and Political Theory, was published by Routledge in 2024.
He is a co-director of at San Jos茅 State University.
His current research focuses on loneliness, technology with a special focus on social robotics/AI, and conservatism as a political philosophy.
