Join us at the inaugural 91果冻制片厂 Student RSCA Forum as these four 91果冻制片厂 student researchers address these and other questions spotlighting their public impact research with a public health and social justice focus.

This impactful discussion will be moderated by McNair Scholars Program Coordinator, Taylor-Dawn Francis, M.A., and presented by the following student researchers:

Ariana Esfahani, 鈥�22 Psychology, McNair Scholar Researcher & Senior RBT Manager. Ariana will discuss her research on the impact that medical marijuana has on the autism community. Additionally, she will address how COVID-19 impacted ABA therapy for families during the stay-at-home order.

Vanessa Reeves, 鈥�22 Public Health, UROP. Vanessa will address the heightened vulnerability of Food Insecurity (FI) within Black communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. She will also discuss the important role health activism plays in addressing food insecure related health and social inequities.

Jessica Uche Umeh, 鈥�23 Public Health, UCDGAP Research Fellow & McNair Scholar. Jessica will address how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the current state of care regarding older adults (65+) living with a form of dementia and under the supervision of a loved one or caregiver. She will also discuss the significant role that healthcare reform plays in identifying barriers and improving the quality of care for the aging population.

Justise Wattree, 鈥�23 Humanities, CSU Research Competition Award Winner & McNair Scholar. Justice will address how COVID-19 changed the landscape of HIV care and prevention and the importance of social justice when addressing HIV in Black communities.

RSCA (Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity) Forums are a joint venture between the 91果冻制片厂 Office of Research, the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program, McNair Scholars Program, and Undergraduate Education. 91果冻制片厂 Research and Innovation offers opportunities for student and faculty interdisciplinary research, and RSCA programs help place 91果冻制片厂 at the forefront of applied research.
